ABOUT STAFFORD AIR & SPACE MUSEUM
The Stafford Air & Space Museum is named in honor of Weatherford native and legendary test pilot and astronaut, Lt. General Thomas P. Stafford. The museum is considered one of the finest and most comprehensive air and space museums in the central United States and encompasses 63,000 sq. ft. of exhibits under one roof! The museum is an Affiliate of the Smithsonian.
The museum is located along Route 66 at I-40 and Exit 84 in Weatherford, and welcomes visitors seven days a week, 360 days a year.

"This place is amazing!"
My kids loved this stay. The museum was fun and educational. We got there about an hour and twenty minutes before it closed, which was almost enough time. I would say two hours would be the right amount of time to get through without feeling rushed. The park outside was a perfect way to get all their energy out. Additionally, the sites were easy to find and mostly level. The adjacent neighborhood was quiet. the worst thing were the bright parking lot lights.

Fantastic Museum of Human Accomplishment!
Amazing museum....would say best space museum experience ever and we have been to lots of them. Interactive, intuitive, colorful, fact based, real deal. Don't miss it. RIP General Stafford. Thanks for your service.
