"What a great and quiet place to overnight. The staff was very helpful and we really enjoyed the museum. It was a nice big paved parking lot that was level and had easy access."

"What a fantastic museum. We’ve drove this section of I-40 many times and seen the signs but never stopped. They offered paved, level parking for our 40’ motor home and tow vehicle in a safe and secure spot. Very educational!"

"We stayed at this museum on October 4, 2021. It was so much bigger and better than we expected! There was a section on the history of flight, one on Stanford’s military career, but the best was about the NASA space program. There is even an area with full scale model of the lunar excursion module. It was so much more comprehensive than just a hometown hero kind of exhibit. The gift shop had a lot of the same merchandise as the Smithsonian A&S museum. Plan to spend at least a couple of hours to take in all the real pieces actually used and the replicas. Would definitely go again."

A Must See If Traveling I-40
"Obviously General/Astronaut Stafford has enormous respect in this community, as well as substantial clout for obtaining historical pieces. This museum is obviously well funded. If you are near Weatherford, you need to stop in. To top it off admission is only $7 ($5 seniors and military)."
